Calling all Supporters of Dorchester Town football club, Your Club needs you!

Do you ever stop and wonder what it takes to make your visit to the Avenue stadium happen? Who is involved in making sure you’re able to come and support the Magpies during the season? The running of a non-league club is simply not possible without dedicated staff and enthusiastic volunteers.

We need hard-working volunteers who are able to spend maybe an hour operating a turnstile on match day, to a volunteer who is able to help collect balls kicked out of the ground during a match.

Did you know?

a) A volunteer who is able to help collect balls kicked out of the ground saves the club £90 for every ball collected – money that could be better spent on the playing budget.

b) A volunteer who is able to operate an entrance turnstile is still able to watch the match kick off.

Do you have a few hours to spare? Are you willing to support your club to make it a better place to visit for all fans? Then we want to hear from you. Here at Dorchester Town Football Club we have the following roles available:

a) Matchday Ambassadors – Our Ambassadors work inside and outside the stadium on matchdays, answering questions from fans, home and away, and guiding them to where they need to go.

b)  Turnstile operators – Our turnstile team are the first point of contact for fans visiting the Avenue Stadium and can create the first and lasting impression of DTFC. We are looking for people to come and operate the turnstiles prior to kick off, greeting fans, both home and away with a friendly and warm welcome.

c) Matchday programme and or Golden goal ticket sales person – We are looking for individuals to sell matchday programmes and our fundraising golden goal tickets around the ground prior to kick off.

d) Club merchandise sales person – Our Merchandise stand with in the Magpies Suite made a roaring trade last season and we are now looking for someone who is willing to take on the role as matchday merchandise sales person. You would be required to be present on the stand taking orders or making sales before the game and at half time. But again, still get to watch both halves of the game!

e) Bar staff – the bar in the Magpies Suite is a hive of activity on matchdays we are looking for people who are able to commit to operating the bar on matchdays and also during the week or weekends for private functions. If you are sociable and have a great customer service then please contact us to discuss further.

f) Catering opportunities – We are looking for polite, sociable and confident individuals who would be willing to serve food, prepared by our catering staff to the players and officials after the match. There are opportunities to also prepare and serve food in the boardroom on matchdays to directors and sponsors.
