A very warm welcome to the players and supporters of Salisbury Football Club who this weekend will visit the Avenue Stadium for our latest clash in the Southern League Premier Division South (KO 3.00pm).

Ahead of the game Dorchester goalkeeping coach Steve Dodge has warned of Salisbury being a “wounded animal” urging the Magpies to build on the results from the past two games.

Capacity: 5,000 (500 seated)

Brief history of The Whites

The club was formed in 2015 following the liquidation of Salisbury City Football Club. Two promotions in three seasons saw the Whites earn a place back in step seven of English football, where they have remained ever since.

The Gaffer - Brian Dutton

Across a 16-year playing career, Dutton represented a number of non-league clubs, including both Salisbury City and Salisbury FC - the former of which he enjoyed promotion with to the National League.

After hanging up his boots Dutton moved into coaching, going on to work at both Bristol Rovers and Walsall FC in various roles.

Earlier this month he was chosen by Salisbury to succeed the outgoing Steve Claridge, who had held the managerial reigns at the Raymond McEnhill since 2015.

Ones to Watch

In Brandon Goodship the Whites possess one of the league’s deadliest strikers. The one-time Magpie loanee already has seven league goals to his name and will be eager to add to that tally on Saturday.

Alongside Goodship, Salisbury boast a number of former Dorchester players in their ranks, including Gerard Benfield, Calvin Brooks, Antonio Diaz, Charlie Davis, Devon Arnold and Josh Wakefield.

Form Guide

The Magpies - LLLDW

After a tricky run of results Dorchester appear to have turned a corner, picking up results away from home against Gosport Borough and Merthyr Town.

The Magpies will be hoping to continue that form this weekend with a first home win in nearly a month.

The Whites - LWDLL

Salisbury have endured a somewhat patchy start to their season, sitting two places below the Magpies in the league albeit having played a game less.

Since Dutton was appointed their manager the club has picked up just one point from a possible nine.

Last Time We Met...

In April, Dorchester secured their place in the Southern League Premier Division South, courtesy of a 1-0 away victory at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium. Alife Stanley scored the only goal of the game.

Magpies Team News

Dorchester are set to welcome back Keith Emmerson after he missed the midweek trip to Merthyr Town.

But there will be no place in the matchday squad for Shaquille Gwengwe (ankle) who is expected to miss out for a couple of weeks.

New signing Harvey Bradbury could make his debut having joined from Gosport Borough yesterday.
