Oakley Hanger returns to The Avenue

Dorchester Town Football Club are pleased to announce that Oakley Hanger has agreed to rejoin The Magpies for a second spell ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Having originally made his league debut in 2014, the former Magpie became a regular in the side at full-back going on to make over 60 appearances before moving to the USA, where he has just completed a four-year scholarship.

On his latest addition, boss Leigh Robinson said: “It’s great to have Oakley back at the club. He was performing well for the club in the Conference South four years ago before going to university in America.”

“As a product of playing in America he’s a very fit lad, he’s also local and therefore has a great affinity with the club.”

“Having spoken to him he’s just as desperate as me to help the club get back on an upward curve again.”

Speaking on being back at The Avenue, Hanger commented: “I’m really looking forward to returning to the club. I’ve been following from afar ever since I’ve left and its hurt seeing the league positions in the last couple of seasons.”

“But after speaking to Leigh and seeing the squad he’s putting together I’ve got a really good feeling about the season ahead and I’m excited to be a part of his project.”

“I can’t wait to return playing in front of our great fans at The Avenue that helped me so much in my first stint. See you all soon – UTM.”

Welcome back Oakley!
