DTFC Update – 26.03.20

We wanted to give all supporters an update on the latest at the football club following a Board of Directors meeting held via Skype last night.

Most importantly, we hope that all supporters, players, staff, volunteers and everyone associated with the club are well in these challenging times.

We would also like to reiterate our thanks to both the DTFC Supporters Club and DTFC Fans Association for their recent donations which have helped the club with ensuring that we can meet our financial commitments and paying our contracted players and staff while the majority of our regular income has come to stop in recent weeks.

We want to reassure supporters that as well as planning for next week – such as ensuring that finances are in place so our contracted players and staff can continue to be paid in the immediate future – we are also planning for next season – both on the football pitch and also continuing to build on the vision set out for the club as a whole over the next few years and beyond.

Chairman Scott Symes has been in regular contact with First Team Manager Leigh Robinson since the current 2019/20 campaign came to halt, including plans and recruitment for the following season, so that once football finally returns we can make sure that, along with Leigh and Robbie at the helm, we can look forward and have a successful and positive season on the pitch.

The club have also been exploring all options available in relation to the various government grants and financial assistance that are available due to the Coronavirus outbreak and restrictions that have been put in place since – these are being monitored and any applications required for these will be made as soon as further guidance is announced.

We will continue to do our best to keep all supporters informed with the latest developments over the upcoming weeks.

Please continue to follow the latest medical advice, stay safe and look after each other.
