AFC TOTTON 0
DORCHESTER TOWN 5 (Bath [2], Panesar-Dower, Smith, O Lowes)

Tom Bath grabbed a first-half brace as Dorchester eased to a 4-0 victory away at AFC Totton in a pre-season friendly.

Bath’s double, alongside a superb solo effort from Dom Panesar-Dower, a River Smith strike, and a late Oli Lowes header allowed the Magpies to claim a routine victory.

Dorchester began well, and soon had Billy Lowes firing a shot wide. Antonio Diaz then worked well with Bath to find Panesar-Dower, who was denied by the Totton goalkeeper after 13 minutes.

Bath was then denied by the goalkeeper two minutes later, after some superb work by Kyle Egan.

Egan and Panesar-Dower were all crucial for the first goal when it came, as it was their move that allowed Bath to slide the ball under the goalkeeper’s legs to hand Dorchester the lead after 18 minutes.

Panesar-Dower soon fired over the bar, but it would be the hosts who would seriously threaten next.

Dorchester goalkeeper Shane Murphy had to be alert to produce a fantastic stop.

However, after 35 minutes, the Magpies doubled their lead and Bath secured a brace.

A great ball towards Tom Blair allowed him time to put a lovely ball across the box for Bath who fired in.

The last real chance of the half came from Panesar-Dower, but his effort went wide, as the Magpies went in 2-0 up at the break.

The Magpies began the second half on the front foot, with Egan running half of the pitch, to switch the play over to Billy Lowes and then Blair, but the goalkeeper collected the latter’s shot.

Totton’s Jack Smith landed a heavy challenge on Blair, which saw the Stags’ man receive a caution after 52 minutes.

It was a quiet second half however, with the next chance falling to Diaz after 68 minutes, when a good shot provoked a great save from the Totton glovesman.

The third goal was all Panesar-Dower’s creation, as he won the ball from the Totton defence and curled a wonderful shot past the goalkeeper and into the net after 71 minutes.

Two substitutes then combined to further extend the lead for Dorchester, as a Sam Lanahan strike rattled the bar, with Smith on hand to tap in to make it 4-0 after 82 minutes.

Charlie Gosney then played a superb ball for Oli Lowes to latch onto and nod in after 90 minutes to complete the rout.
