FRIENDLY MATCH PREVIEW: @DorchTownFC -v- @EveshamUnitedFC

Dorchester Town will welcome the Supporters, Players and Officials of Evesham United to the Avenue Stadium tonight (KO 7:45pm)

This will mark the Magpies final pre-season friendly before the season starts in earnest away at Banbury United on Saturday 12th August (3:00pm).

Assistant-manager Trevor Senior is hoping for a positive performance against the Robins to set the team up for the approaching Southern Premier League season.

Speaking to Dorset Echo Sport earlier he said: “I would say it would be nice to go into the campaign with a clean sheet and a positive performance. Obviously a result would help but it’s not essential.

“We’re all gunning for the 12th (at Banbury), that’s our main aim but just to get a positive performance and make sure the lads go into the game with some confidence.”

Ross Carmichael and Dom Panesar-Dower are expected to feature tonight after returning from their summer holidays.

Admission prices for this game are:

Adult/Concession: £5
Under 16: Free
Season Ticket Holders: Free

The club takes part in a Community Credits Scheme run by the Dorset Volunteer Centre and that match day admission will be two community credit notes per person.

The club and team would really appreciate your support so come on down and cheer the lads on.

Meanwhile, there will be an open training session for the first team Tuesday 8th August at the Avenue Stadium. The time of the session will be 7:00pm – 8:30pm.

The bar will be open and we will be showing the game between Real Madrid C.F. and Manchester United in the UEFA Super Cup.

All welcome.
