Billy Lowes & and Callum Laird agree terms @DorchTownFC for next season

Dorchester Town Football Club is delighted to announce that Midfielder Billy Lowes and Defender Callum Laird have both agreed terms to play for the Magpies next season.

Billy started his football career as a ten year old at the Bournemouth academy where he spent 4 years before being released with an injury to his knee. After a short spell in the boxing ring, Billy decided to return to football, and after a full recovery joined Yeovil Town’s academy, spending a full season there before the glovers abandoned their youth programme.

He joined Poole Town in 2013 where he made 13 first team appearances and became the Young Player of the Year before loans spells at Wincanton Town and AFC Totton. He joined the Terras at the start of the 2015/16 season where he was a first choice regular in former manager Jason Matthews squad.

Callum, the youngest of four brothers and the son of manager Craig Laird is a very versatile defender who can play anywhere across the back four. He started his career at Plymouth Argyle & Exeter City’s youth set up before going on to play for Weymouth, Weston-Super-Mare, Yate Town and more recently Bridgwater Town.

We are also delighted to announce that Jake Mawford and Neil Martin have agreed terms and will remain at the Avenue for next season.

Welcome to the Magpies Billy and Callum and welcome back Neil and Jake.
